Gerald Sowell
OWNER & DESIGNER

A bargain at $6.50 a stem in 1969, his first crystal glasses are now worth more than $100 each. They still ring beautifully when clicked with a fingernail, and Gerry’s respect for, and expertise in, the better things in life has grown along with their value. Gerry’s love of English Design and detail is evident in much of his work– specifically, beautifully coordinated color, pattern, and trim in upholstery, window treatments and casegoods. Bench-made English furniture, as well as European furniture using the Chinoiserie decorative painting style popularized first in the 17th Century has an important place in Gerry’s design.

He began building his own business in 1975, after working for another designer in both commercial and residential design, and has pursued a residential focus for the last 30 years, encouraging clients to follow there own hearts in developing a unique style for their homes.
